Be my guest. No, really.
Submit your Spirit Guide or Ghost story with us to be considered as a podcast guest!
Well, that didn’t take long.
Just a few days off of working on The Skeptical Shaman podcast to get ready for my podcast tour, and a new (and dare I say inspired) idea fluttered into my consciousness.
I was sitting on the couch, reading about my new Spirit Guide, Cernunnos, when my husband leaned over to take a gander. He excitedly pulled up his Spotify app on his phone to show me that he had just listened to an episode all about Cernunnos on a podcast called The Warning Wood: Horror Fiction and Scary Stories.
I would say that I couldn’t believe the confluence, but it’s been nonstop spiritual breadcrumbs ever since Cernunnos hit the shamanic scene last week!
More importantly, this exchange planted a seed that started to germinate at warp speed: why don’t I reach out to folks for their human-scaled stories of working with Spirit Guides, interacting with ghosts…and navigating other “entities” along their spiritual journey?

I love true stories, and think that there are plenty of real-life spiritual and supernatural experiences out there that we don’t need to dig into fairy tales or lore for our hit of the good stuff.
I mean, from a shamanic perspective, we’re all kind of living alongside the lore all day every day anyways!
That said, I don’t want this turning into a free-for-all of life coaches or would-be Woo-ers rushing in to promote their stupid, grabby retreat or MLM or otherwise spiritually bankrupt “thing” they want the audience to buy. Trust me when I tell you that I get podcast guest pitches all the time that, well, suck.
Like, I don’t want to talk to a “shamanic dentist”. Ever.
So, to ensure that we’re getting to the good good— and recording episodes that are interesting, empowering and additive to our listeners— we’ve created a Google form for folks to use to submit their info and give me a little preview of their proposed topic.
If you or someone you know might be interested in submitting an idea and becoming a guest on The Skeptical Shaman podcast, please head over to the form and complete it here ASAP: https://forms.gle/t5v3CXyK26WrLjWn9
I hope to hear from you in the next few weeks so that I can start to build out an editorial calendar of upcoming episodes alongside my aggressive schedule, hopefully publishing these in November and December— the spookiest and most magical time of the year!
Please like, share, subscribe— and rate and review!
One of the core missions of The Skeptical Shaman is to engage “normal people” and not just other New Age practitioners— or spend our episodes selling bullshit no one wants. It’s easy to sit in the meaty part of the content creation bellcurve, focusing on downloads and other key metrics and pick guests based upon their potential reach— not on the value of what they actually have to say.
But that’s already been done. To death.
And, based on the latest data I’ve seen, podcasters are quitting left, right and center— representing a more than 50% decrease in overall podcasts since the peak in 2021— because they’re not turning into Joe Rogan or Call Her Daddy overnight. Now, had they just figured out what they wanted to talk about and with whom (instead of focusing on $$$ only), they’d probably still be on the air.
I want to do this for a long, long time, so I’m super focused on cultivating and sharing conversations that are inherently interesting to me— and that I think will add value for all of you lovely listeners.
To this end, please help support The Skeptical Shaman by liking, sharing and subscribing. Most importantly, ratings and reviews of the podcast on Apple and Spotify are exceedingly helpful, and will enable us to stay on the air.
While we make The Skeptical Shaman podcast free for listeners, it’s not free to make. Your honest ratings and reviews help us keep on keeping on, maintaining the even exchange of energy so crucial to reliance, humanity-supporting systems!

Hey guys-- I think I was able to remove any security restrictions (fucking Google docs and forms are a permissions nightmare!). LMK if you have any further trouble and, if you did earlier, try back now (via link) as I think it's open to all....?
Well said
