Aries Solar Eclipse + New Moon Deep Dive

The image above depicts one of my absolute favorite paintings, and I think it’s a perfect fit for the energy of tomorrow’s Aries Solar Eclipse + New Moon.

Created by surrealist Rene Magritte, it’s called “The Banquet”, and I first glimpsed it around the age of ten while making an in-person visit to the Art Institute of Chicago.

When I first came upon this large painting as a child, I was spellbound by it. I remember not being able to articulate what I was feeling with words, but I somehow knew that what I was looking at was— or maybe would be— important. It was like a prophecy in paint, wordless but powerful, and seemed to whisper something to my soul about what was to come.

And, while I didn’t fully understand its message, it felt powerful and hopeful and very, very certain.

This painting is part of a larger series that Magritte called “the visible that is hidden”, wanting to dramatize the “charge of strangeness” that underpins our mundane reality, and that largely goes ignored by our fellow humans. For many decades after this first encounter with this painting, I would visit the Art Institute of Chicago on an almost weekly basis, always taking a moment (or two) to say “hello” to my old friend: the big, red sun set in front of the trees.

And, now that I and several of my clients and collaborators are a few years into strange dreams, visions, and waking observations of: a large, second red sun sinking low on the horizon line; multiple, simultaneous dramatic eclipses; and references to “the sky [being] broken”— which we previously wrote about HERE on Substack— I believe that I’m starting to experience the unfurling and unfolding of this early message from Spirit via this painting, making this precise moment in time feel super duper consequential.

Tomorrow’s Solar Eclipse + New Moon in Aries is the last in a series that started in earnest in May 2023, bringing to fruition our little initiation saga with strange red suns, strange skies, strange dreams, strange (and undeniable) synchronicities and, well, powerful (not to mention strange) gods of prophecy. This isn’t to say it’s an ending; rather, tomorrow’s eclipse serves as a powerful culmination point— one that brings with it previously unprecedented manifestation and psychic fuel for our use in the next six months.

The trick? Well, there are several, actually, and we’ll be sharing them as relevant in the post below. And, given that energy is, well, big and powerful and stuff, it’s important to do a very Aries thing: dig into the psychic data, crunch the metaphorical numbers, and put together a super intentional and somewhat demanding action plan.

And, well, get a little weird with it.
