A message of gratitude for your support, reviews, and shares!
As of this morning, we have officially hit more than 2,000 sales and 400 reviews on our TOTEMReadingsATX Etsy Shop. We also have almost 60 reviews of our TOTEM Tarot Deck on Amazon, with a handful of new reviews coming in for our TOTEM Flower Essence Deck.
While this may not seem like a big deal in the grand scheme of things, it’s a HUGE deal to a small business owner— especially someone that, like me, self-publishes and hand-makes fucking everything. Like, myself. Well, with Emma (the artist), but you get the picture!
As a natural introvert and sensitive psychic type, every Instagram video, ad read or promotional interview I put out feels like a masterclass in how to become more clownish. But I don’t have a marketing or PR department around here at TOTEM, so if I want folks to enjoy the stuff I’m busy making, I better get over myself— and my insecurities about “selling” my stuff.
This is especially important considering the risk we small business owners take to self-fund projects, ultimately embracing that whole “build it and they will come” ethos.
Your support, honest reviews and continued interest in what we’re creating gives me the boost I need to keep on keeping on, and I’m incredibly grateful to all of you.
Review Raffle
This heartfelt gratitude is the driving force behind making the effort to send handwritten thank you notes— and include art prints of our new TOTEM Flower Essence cards— to anyone that sends me a screenshot of a review they have shared as a part of our broader Review Raffle.

Our big focus through the end of the raffle on July 31st? Reviews of the TOTEM Flower Essence Deck on Amazon. Amazon is a huge, global marketplace and we’re a very, very small business with a self-published deck, so every review helps us gain visibility with those that might be interested in our creation.

In-Person Summer Events
I’m also really looking forward to connecting with local clients in the Austin area this Summer. Yes, it’s going to be hot as hell. But that’s what the “National Beer of Texas” (i.e. Lone Star) is for!
First up on deck, we’re hosting a fun, Dark Garden Party-themed event at The Herb Bar the evening of the Summer Solstice + Capricorn Full Moon on June 21st. Every attendee will receive a gift bag including one copy of the TOTEM Flower Essence Deck, several full-sized TOTEM Flower Essences, and other premium goodies from the witchy ladies over at The Herb Bar.
We’ll have refreshments, lively conversation about the World of Woo, and hopefully a few fairy visits— they do get more active in the evenings!

We’re also hosting a backyard comedy show on July 11th here at our humble home. Robbie “The Fire” Bernstein, host of the Run Your Mouth and co-host (with fellow comedian Dave Smith) of the Part of the Problem Podcast, is bringing his Summer Porch Tour to our literal backyard— yep, that’s the same place as the TOTEM Flower Essence Garden!

How to make and work with Flower Essences— July 27th
How to make and use Flower Essences is going to be an engaging, immersive online learning experience all about the ancient alchemy of flower essences. This world is a wild, wild place— and it’s getting wilder every damn day. We need each other now more than ever. We also need the happy, chill vibes of summer: connecting with each other IRL, exploring witchy woo plant medicines, and enjoying the special magic of the nature spirits and fairies.
