Taurus Full Moon + Lunar Eclipse Deep Dive

There is a bull-headed beast in the center of the labyrinth.

He grows stronger inside of the darkness of the impossible maze— a walled garden placed well out out of view.

Every fiber of our being wants to avoid and ignore this monster, but we must confront him— or lose ourselves forever.

This creature is the Minotaur, and his presence— and lessons and insights— are coming to light under this month’s Taurus Full Moon + Lunar Eclipse on October 28th.

In this Full Moon Deep Dive, we’re going into the realms of the Unconscious and the Underworld: dark, liminal spaces guarded by the temple guardians of the ancient feminine and populated with bull-headed gods, hallucinogenic raves, nighttime forests, animalistic impulses— as well as the dead.

So, this Taurus Full Moon + Lunar Eclipse, let’s make an effort to confront our Minotaurs. Subdue them a bit by acknowledging their existence. Shrink the negative influence of their presence by taking a trip into the labyrinth of our own minds, souls, and impulses. Turn a monster into a totem animal, integrating that which is within the shadows of our wilderness to make ourselves whole again.

But first we have to take a trip to the dark side. We have to see what dwells in the shadows of the maze. And we have to take a deep breath as we face our full nature, both as individuals and as a collective.

After all: just because we avert our eyes, doesn’t mean it’s not there.

And this Taurus Full Moon + Lunar Eclipse— when both the sun and the moon’s light is hidden from view— is the perfect dark night in which to embark on this adventure.
