"There was truth and there was untruth, and if you clung to the truth even against the whole world, you were not mad." - George Orwell, 1984
I was a guest on the Hex and the City podcast the other day, and the host, Cardsy B, asked me a brilliant, unexpected question: “What is the theme of this Gemini season? What have you been noticing in your work?”
Without thinking, I responded: “I think people are telling on themselves.”
The host’s eyes lit up with acknowledgement as she nodded, and we quickly started chattering away on the topic of this apparent trend in our respective spiritual practices.
In retrospect, I’m a bit proud that I didn’t use the language I used the day before when I was posed a similar question by a friend, at which point I let it all hang out by saying, “Everyone is showing their whole asshole. And it ain’t pretty.”
What can I say? I’ve always been a bit of a poet.
For the last few months, I’ve noticed a pronounced and dramatic shift in many people’s relationship with the truth. And this shift has been building to an apex ever since we hit the sign of Gemini. In fact, I’ve had more than a few experiences with individuals who, in the words of Judge Judy were, “pissing on my leg while telling me it’s raining.”
(Judge Judy is an American treasure.)
In every case, these individuals knew they were caught lying. It was obvious via objective, measurable proof. But, in every case, they doubled down on their lie, digging deeper and deeper and seemingly without any outward shame as their elaborate, contradictory machinations and excuses unfolded like a runaway roll of toilet paper down a long hallway.
It’s a bad feeling, being lied to. It’s an even worse feeling to be lied to about being lied to.
I mean, even with some awareness of what’s happening and tools to manage the head*ckery, the insalubrious film of falsehood inevitably rubs off on our energy bodies, leaving us with a lingering case of the icks and asking us a series of unpleasant questions:
“Is everyone in the world a lying liar? A coward? Unprincipled? Do we have to bullshit ourselves and others to succeed or just stay safe in this place? And does the truth ever, actually really matter? Or does it just get you into trouble?”
Any victim of coercive control, narcissistic abuse or cultic bullshit knows this vortex all too well, and navigating the “am I crazy or did that person just lie to my face and what, if anything should I do about it?” labyrinth is exhausting, not to mention demoralizing.
Spending your days getting gaslit also really messes with your sleep cycle.
But all of these shenanigans— some of which were perpetrated by supposed spiritual practitioners and “light workers”— correlate with much larger trends across media, politics, and industry. When I saw it from a wider lens, I realized that these negative interactions armed me with with a really profound and, surprisingly, ultimately optimistic insight into this month’s coming Capricorn Full Moon.
And this Full Moon message is not some moralizing, “be nice and stop lying” platitude. In fact, I’m not sure anyone is lying any more than they were before.
I think we’re all just starting to notice.
Woof. It’s awkward.
I mean, the liars can feel that we know.
And this crack in the damn is just one manifestation of what I believe to be a profound split occurring in the human population.
In this split, cracks are becoming craters.
The scales are falling from our eyes.
The veil of illusion is melting.
The real picture is coming into focus.
And the truth is actually, finally about to have its day.
Many of us refer to this overarching phenomenon as The Quickening, a term originally coined by late night radio host Art Bell. He used this term to describe the seeming acceleration of all manner of supernatural, political, interpersonal, socio-economic and even geologic activity— all of which seems to be escalating at an exponential pace towards a single point in the imminent future.
A point that will offer us the truth about the nature of our reality and emancipation from systems, like mass manipulation, that have long outlived their usefulness.
Understanding the nature of June 21st’s Capricorn Full Moon and the other major energies converging with it— like the Summer Solstice and the Wood Dragon Year— gives us profound insights on how best to understand and navigate this Quickening.
It’s not just going to be folks telling on themselves. It’s not just going to be the mask slipping.
Starting with this Capricorn Full Moon, this summer is going to be a time of intense hypernovelty that will send shockwaves through the false constructs that obscure our line of sight into real reality.
But what is that real reality, you might be wondering?
Well, it all starts with some ancient bad guys:
