Using the TOTEM Flower Essence Deck in a traditional Celtic Cross Reading!

Anyone else having an intense and not very fun couple of weeks? Feeling a bit thin around the edges? Exhausted? Burned out?

Me too.

I mean, it’s not all bad. We’ve printed and published our TOTEM Flower Essence Deck, which is very exciting. But, with that new project comes a lot of extra work— and more than a few fire drills requiring immediate energy and attention to resolve. While I’m typically quite adept at rolling up my sleeves, solving problems and balancing the effort with some solid self-care, this latest round of work seems to have gotten the better of me.

Exhausted, sitting at my desk the other day, I decided to do an experiment: leverage our new TOTEM Flower Essence Deck, a 60-card oracle deck, in a traditional Celtic Cross reading — a “spread” usually reserved for tarot cards.

The insights I got blew me away (see photo of spread, above), so I wanted to share the reading— and my interpretations of the cards and their placements— with you in the event you want to leverage this spread with the TOTEM Flower Essence Deck (or any other deck you might have on hand!):
