"We're not grownups" - me to everyone at my company. Probably people like this everywhere, but I have coworkers who work 16 hour days and are in so many meetings they don't even eat lunch or have time to take a shit, and glorify it like they're a better employee, it's actually infantile. I appreciate you calling out that the better employees are the ones who self-tend.
Almost like society is intentionally stripping us of our sovereignty. Nervous system work is truly so essential. I love how Elisha said being authentic can be triggering for people who aren't and that can make you seem "intimidating." True healers will empower you to heal yourself, such an important point!
Thinking of others' wins as your wins is some MLM shit too - recruiting people into exploitation isn't a win for anyone but okay.
Chop wood, carry water. What a great conversation, as always Rachel!
Audrey- I'm currently working through my own adrenal fatigue right now, and I can tell you: it ain't easy to do things the right way. Even I, a weirdo shaman, have an impulse to get an herb or a supplement or unlock a trick to just FIX IT. But we get better the way we get sick: slowly. It's a lot of work to sustain consistent action and commitment to ourselves and our own well-being.
