Nothing is as awe-inspiring as watching a murmuration. My favorite spring time activity is to go to the Tulip fields of Skagit county here in Washington and looking up to the skies. It fills my soul with wonder.

I’m jealous! We don’t get as much of this phenomenon in central Texas, but we do have the incredible, electric noises made by the Mexican grackles!

So much Woo here Rachel! I just had a new totem and spirit guide show up in my journeys earlier this week - and one of them GAVE ME A GIFT! Still deciphering it all for myself, but the synchronicity of you writing this!!!! Very exciting to learn more about the blackbirds particularly. Let’s hear it for the birds :) I love them.

Ohhhh, beautiful to learn more about this! I’ve been extra attentive to birds and their movement patterns lately; special to come across this piece.

This is wild and perfect timing. I’ve been pulling Lady of Metals constantly the past few weeks. And times I didn’t pull them in the spread, I would spot them on the bottom of the deck.

They’re…around us. Watching. Waiting. So much energy these days.

Thank you for the shout out, Rachel! Between the prevalence of ornithomancy in Mediterranean cultures, the prominence of birds in Native American spirituality (including divination), Kabbalistic mentions of divination using birds, and the reoccurrence of birds in nearly every creation story out there, I am certainly convinced that birds have a special place as messengers between the physical and spiritual worlds. If nothing else, bird were here long before us (surviving the dinosaur apocalypse!) and have much wisdom for us. As Grandfather William Commanda said, “You have to believe in the birds, believe with your heart. Only then can they show you all they have to share, only then can they change your life.”

What an amazing pattern woven by the Red Winged Blackbird. I enjoy how well researched these dives are.

Thank you (and Natalie) for help with that aspect of it! I generally research because I want to know— and NEED to know;)

Love this! Birds are amazing to watch. I was just sitting on the patio and listening to the cranes calling as they fly over.

The last couple weeks Owl has been coming up a lot for me.

Owl is a really, really big deal-- and has been popping up for a lot of my coaching clients, too. Ancestors, Lower World-- and mediumship, just for a start. Enjoy the feathered friends-- and keep an eye out for my upcoming post on Cranes as totem animals. Waiting for more of the Woo to take hold and paint a cohesive picture before hitting "publish"!
