It's curious - this idea of a wish. I find lately that when I try to concretely answer this idea of "what do I want" or "if I could have anything, what would it be," I think I'll have immediate answers but instead what comes out is loose, ambiguous and intangible. Or the answer is just "more money," which really isn't the actual answer, but I've grown up with the idea that money = success = happiness, and it's ingrained pretty deep. Now though, it feels constricting. (Doesn't help seeing manifestation bs all over my feeds...)
I've been working on flipping that in myself and to instead consider how I want to feel or parse through the money forest to see what's on the other side of my wants and wishes. What do I want the money for? I know it's not to swim around in like Scrooge McDuck, I'm not an asshole ;)
It's a process, and these cards are hopeful buoys indeed!
For this week/ these cards/ this wish-making vibe, I'm trying to focus on what these professional achievements will give me that have NOTHING to do with work-- a welcome change around here at TOTEM. For instance: if a few large (and ethical) retailers can sell my TOTEM Flower Essences alongside my sales on Etsy, I can take my foot off of the gas peddle with other services/ efforts and actually enjoy my husband having this Summer off of work (for a change). To that end, I try to dig into a kind of forward-looking "euphoric recall" via an imagined sense memory: the feeling of time-havingness, lingering in the backyard without the nagging sense of needing to rush, and what fun I'll have with daily, tranquil shamanic journeying meditations that aren't rushed between work demands. The more "contained" and specific, the better (at least for me)!
Oh I wish I would have listened to this sooner! Helpful and hopeful for me while I look after Hero. I did just get a retailer out here in Joshua Tree to carry my Aura sprays! And congratulations on the upcoming book and your birthday plans sound magnificent, especially hanging with the goats :) Will make a point to focus on these cards’ energies this week despite being the OCD helicopter worrying mom with Hero.
