Gee, who would have thought that the Vatican/Creationist would mount yet another campaign to control what we believe, see, experience, and intuitively 'know', while ignoring historical texts and convincing us that science is all wrong (Yes sarcasm).
I sense a pending revival witch hunts and censorship mentality. The most brilliant theologian I ever knew taught me that science will prove the existence of God/gods and reveal the mysteries of creation and evolution, which are yet beyond our understanding.
Holly! We have witch hunts coming at us from multiple fronts-- secular and "spiritual"-- in the months to come. Cognitive dissonance can be a real bitch;)
Very interesting and thought provoking article. So much parallels similar information I’ve come across. It’s all enough to make me feel as if I stuck my Kitchenaid mixer through my ears and gave my brains a good scramble! 🤣🤪 But I look forward to whatever we learn with a wide open mind! Keep bringing it! 👍🏼🤓😎🙏🏼
Deep down, I think we all know, that there is more out there than we can even imagine.
People were given a very unrealistic and limited view ( heaven and hell ) ... LOL ... off the incredibility and ungraspable immensity of this universe by people ( church ) who thought the world was flat, these then arroganlty commenced to re-write and re-write a book ( bible ) to fit their greedy and controlling needs.
The church has lost it and they know it.
Too many lies, too many cover- ups and scandals.
It's another boy's club that was based on greed and control for too long.
After hundreds of years of spinning tales, telling stories and creating differences they have manouvred themselves into a corner from wich there is no escape.
Other than admitting their wrongs and truly changing their .. well ... many, many things.
For one, giving access to the old scripts that they refuse to show the public.
( because we are not worthy... right??!!! ) lol
I hope they find the grace and courage to become honest.
There are many good things about religion and church that human kind needs.
Focus on true spiritual awakenings have gone lost in translation of a very old and convoluted book.
The spiritual principals are the same all over the world.
We should not need to have to study them for years before we might understand them or rely on educated people in church to explain and translate the need and importance for truth, honesty, integrity, all good virtues, as the gateway for a good life.
Religion has become a separation, a very arrogant one, we are all ( yes, the gays, the muslims and even our enemies ) are all children of God, citizens of humanity.
This whole world is God's creation and so is everything in it.
Some tolerance and de- escalation would be good!
Love thy
People that live by good example ( a code of honor, living those good values in daily life ) is what really attracts us, seeing people with that inner light, that humans get when they have had a spiritual awakening and live a righteous, not a self- righteous life.
We were given free will, the choice is ours.
Will it be greed, arrogance and ignorance?
Or will we finally wake up and stop following all those wrong messiahs and low level desires they stand for.
Money is the cause of all evil. It's kinda obvious... all our systems seem fraud with corruption...
"And while I don’t exactly know what that thing is, I do think an imminent, major shift in the conversation about 'who made the world' is at the horizon line, sparking a summer of high strangeness and worldview-shifting Woo." This is a conversation we're having in my private community. It started between two of us back in Autumn, was paused for various reasons, and yet the thread was illuminated again last week. We're planning a gathering specifically around this topic, which we're referring to as "Earth's real history." Thanks so much for this timely post! xoxo
Interesting and, indeed, thought provoking. I’ve had too much experience with so-called ‘unexplained’ phenomena that I only trust my own feelings and senses and not what any clergyman tells me.
I feel the same way, and I also feel this way about "the science". To me, this topic isn't binary-- one OR the other. Rather, it's where things overlap that I think it gets interesting;)
Damn Rachel, that was quite an interesting, informative, and provocative article you put together.
I’m always jazzed when I come across anyone with a worldview influenced somehow by their discovery of the Enuma Elish, but you touched on a profound aspect which differentiates the Sumerian creation story from similar stories in other cultures and religions.
Enuma Elish is translated from what we’d refer to in the West today as prose of the time. It’s not written in figurative language. To Sumerians it’s no myth.
There have been criticisms abound of his work, however Sitchin was the only individual I’m aware of who dedicated most of his life to the project of translating and decoding the language of Cuneiform from ancient Sumer… the oldest form of writing found to date (c.3500BC), etched into clay and stone tablets before being oven baked, one might assume for the sake of longevity.
The implications of these writings are profound, and unlike artifacts from other ancient cultures many tablets have been found intact with the messaging preserved, yet mainstream institutions have all but entirely deflected focus away from their significance.
How this all relates to questions of humanity, it’s origins, our purpose and our forgotten history truly are the questions of the age.
I’m excited to know the numbers of us looking for answers is growing.
Holding concepts that “might” oppose one another in our head at the same time - it throws a lot of people for a loop. So they give up their personal agency and hand it off to others. To me true faith is realizing we don’t know it all and being willing to show up, think critically, and be a good human while we’re doing that. It’s simple but it melts some brains!
And as I think about it - this confusion has been created and encouraged to put people into this state. Those that step outside of it are castigated by the system - and have been for the ages.
Yowzers, that was a wild ride! I look forward to reading some of the additional research that you linked here. Perhaps it's because I'm Gen X, but I'm automatically skeptical of *everything* although I enjoy learning about a wide variety of topics.
Is the Church trying to hide things and keep followers under their control? Obviously.
Are we about to get a history-shattering visit from outer space? No clue.
Do I continue to "root for the asteroid"? *checks headlines * Yes. Yes, I absolutely do. 🤣
As you know, I’m a bit of a skeptic myself, so I guess we’re both in good company! As for “space aliens”, I agree— but inter dimensional or ultra terrestrial beings? Sure. As for who I’m rooting for, I’m squarely on team humanity. And I think we’re going to have an incredible year!
I appreciate your commitment to Team Humanity! Agree this year is going to be incredible. Now, whether that's a positive or negative remains to be seen!
Not a fan— I like listening to him from time to time and think he largely means well, but my feeling is that he has some serious blind spots. Not all Elohim are evil— just as not all humans are evil— nor do I think the Elohim are necessarily from “outer space”. Nuance gets lost in the shuffle with Clif and many others…

Thank you- I'm so glad it was able to un-mix the scramble...even if just a bit!

Let's get back to basics.
Excuse the rant and thank you!!
Insightful and thought provoking. The spiritual path is pathless, it's about learning unlearning and relearning.
True story-- thank you!
You touched on so many thoughts I’ve had on these topics but never said out loud to anyone. Thanks for this!
Thank YOU for reading and for commenting-- so happy to see others wondering about the same high strangeness!
Ditto, same thoughts. And I’ve always felt that there was more to “us” than what we were taught. Excited to learn if I’ve been correct. 🙏🏼
Here's to hoping!

Agreed. That overlap is certainly here, in my house

Thank you! Yes: plenty of criticism of Sitchin, but I've never seen a counter-translation of the texts (would LOVE it).

Are you a Clif High fan? I don't know if I am a fan exactly, but I have heard his stuff, and he talks about the Elohim a lot.
